"Hannah Montana" star MILEY CYRUS joined a who's who of young Hollywood stars Saturday afternoon on behalf of a very worthy cause.

Variety magazine sponsored the "Power of Youth" event and auction to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospitals and to help raise awareness of philanthropic causes. Held at the Globe Theater at Universal Studios Hollywood, the "street fair"-themed gathering featured a host of interactive activities as well as musical performances.

"Hannah Montana" star MILEY CYRUS heads out cross country this fall with a "Best of Both Worlds Tour," it is reported by the Associated Press. The title comes from the fact that Miley will be performing songs from Meet Miley Cyrus, her debut solo CD, and songs made famous as Hannah.

The tour, scheduled for 54 cities, will premiere Oct. 18 in St. Louis.

BILLY RAY CYRUS is back to work on "Hannah Montana," with no more distractions from "Dancing with the Stars" rehearsals now that the celebreality series has wrapped. But the singer/actor did make time for one last paso doble when KARINA SMIRNOFF, his professional partner, made her acting debut on Billy Ray's Disney Channel series.

"I'm glad she got to step over to this side, because I think she is a natural born actress. This is the first of many acting jobs for her," Billy Ray predicts.

No one was more surprised than BILLY RAY CYRUS last week when JOHN RATZENBERGER was sent packing from "Dancing with the Stars" before him. He hadn't expected to have another week of dancing to go, but with that being the case, the singer/actor tells our MARY HART that it is his family that keeps him in the game.

"Here we are with three weeks left to go in the contest, and I am still standing by, really in amazement and in shock that I am still in this thing," he says while visiting Stage 28. "[My family is] so excited. They are really into it, saying 'One more. You've got one more dance in you. Get back up.' They have been my biggest supporters."

BILLY RAY CYRUS may have launched a dance craze with the release of "Achy Breaky Heart," but the singer/actor admits that he has never danced a day in his life!

"I would skip our proms and homecoming dances in high school, because I always felt bashful and embarrassed to get up in front of people and move around and dance," Cyrus tells ET correspondent THEA ANDREWS, who visited the "Hannah Montana" star at his top-secret rehearsal studio. "If I went to a dance with my high school girlfriend, then we would just dance to the slow songs. I would never get up and dance in front of people, which is why it is so crazy that I am doing this."
