He's saved the world from impending doom for seven seasons on Fox's hit show "24," and now Jack Bauer himself, Kiefer Sutherland, is opening up to ET about what exciting surprises fans can expect from the upcoming season.
Hollywood's hottest young celebs turned out for InStyle mag's seventh annual "Summer Soiree" last night, and ET had exclusive access to the event!
Tinseltown's best and brightest -- including SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR and hubby FREDDIE PRINZE JR., JERI RYAN, MARG HELGENBERGER, ELISHA CUTHBERT and more -- came out to celebrate the summer night at one of the hottest parties of the season.
FREDDIE PRINZE JR. is on a roll with his new ABC sitcom, airing Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., which got its full season pickup a few weeks back. It was a double bonus for the second generation Hollywood star as he not only headlines the series, he is one of its executive producers.
Freddie had a lot of concerns when he signed with ABC, so he took a lot of care when developing the comedy. His first consideration was picking great co-workers; then he decided to tackle subject matter that hit close to home. Even though he was starring in a comedy, Freddie wanted it to be a truthful representation of a family. So, he spoke to GEORGE LOPEZ, whose show he admires, to get some advice.
When the fall season begins, FREDDIE PRINZE JR. will follow in his famous father's footsteps by starring in his own TV sitcom. So what does the younger Freddie think his father, who was the star of "Chico and the Man," would have thought of the situation?
"I have never known," he tells ET's JANN CARL on the set of his new ABC comedy, premiering Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8:30 p.m. "He has motivated every decision that I have ever made. You can hope and pray, but you can't know because he is not on earth. Every decision I made was to please him, to make him proud and to make sure the families were comfortable with my father's name, which also happens to be mine."
It is no secret that newlywed JENNIFER GARNER, who plays action heroine Sydney Bristow on "Alias," is in the family way. She and husband BEN AFFLECK are expecting their first child in late fall. After much speculation about how the show would handle the actress' pregnancy, ABC President STEPHEN McPHERSON reveals that it will definitely be written into the story.
"We are going to embrace the fact that she is pregnant," McPherson explains. "We're adding some characters to give her some new dynamics and some relationships to play off of. J.J. ABRAMS is really focused on how to do it and make it realistic and not campy. We don't want to put her in situations where she is endangering herself or the baby.
