Basketball’s brightest were on the court, but the biggest stars of the night were benched. Familiar faces from film and TV filled that stands of the Staples Center in LA. Hilary Swank, Charlize Theron, Sylvester Stallone, and Will Ferrell were just some notable fans who stole the thunder from the phenomenal athletes heating up the championship. The hardwood was the new red carpet for the NBA Finals as the Lakers beat the Celtics in game one. The second game of the supreme series airs Sunday on ABC.

Tom Cruise had a boys’ night out with son Connor at Wednesday’s LA Lakers game in the Staples Center. Other slam-dunk enthusiasts included two Kardashian sisters, Bruce Willis, and Hilary Swank. The hometown team beat the Phoenix Suns 124-112.

The Vanity Fair party brought out some stars ET doesn't see on the red carpet too often, such as Jay Leno and wife Mavis. While Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on location in Europe and missed out on this year's Oscars, we got the next best thing. Angie's dad Jon Voight told us all about his recent visit with the leading Hollywood family.
