It was double trouble for the "Idol" hopefuls on Wednesday night, as two contestants were sent home -- PHIL STACEY and CHRIS RICHARDSON!

Since none of the contestants were eliminated on last week's "Idol Gives Back" charity special, the combined 135 million votes from the past two weeks were tallied, and two were sent home this week.

Rock superstar JON BON JOVI mentored the Final Six "American Idol" contestants as they prepared to sing songs by his band, BON JOVI, on Tuesday night's show.

PHIL STACEY rocked the audience with "Blaze of Glory." RANDY JACKSON complimented the 29-year-old from Jacksonville, FL: "I am happy for you for a lot of reasons. I think other than country week, this is your best performance on the show. That was the bomb." PAULA ABDUL told him, "This is the best opening I think we have had all season long." But "Idol" wouldn't be "Idol" unless SIMON COWELL disagreed. He said, "I didn't hear any authenticity. I thought in the middle you were like a bad actor playing a role. I don't think you have done enough to last to next week."
