TOM PETTY may be a heartbreaker, but he's still got love in his heart for another band he was a part of more than 30 years ago.
This Saturday, the veteran singer will reunite with the original members of MUDCRUTCH -- TOM LEADON, RANDALL MARSH, MIKE CAMPBELL and BENMONT TENCH -- to perform at the Malibu Performing Arts Center to benefit The Midnight Mission, a Los Angeles organization that offers assistance to the homeless.
The event, titled "From Malibu with Love III," is the third concert in the series. Previous performances in the series have included RICHIE SAMBORA, JACKSON BROWNE and REO SPEEDWAGON.
The Florida-based Mudcrutch broke up in 1975 and its members went their separate ways -- with the exception of Petty, Campbell and Tench, who formed TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS.
In addition to this weekend's show, Mudcrutch will not only launch a tour this spring, but will release their debut album on April 29 as well.
