Joe Biden and wife Jill spoke openly to ET's Mary Hart about their son Beau's upcoming deployment to Iraq.
"I have to admit to you," Joe says about his son's departure. "I wish he wasn't going."
The Biden's son is a Delaware army national guard and Jill says they couldn't be prouder. "He leaves next week, we're very proud of him, but there's not a morning that I open my eyes that I don't say a prayer that he comes home safely," she says.
"It does make it more personal," Joe says of his son's deployment, "when you've been out there in these PRT's, you've been out there in Felugian, all these different places and you see these guys knowing your son's going to be in that situation."
The Biden's were in Detroit on Sunday alongside Michelle and Barack Obama for the Change We Need Rally. This their first interview as a foursome.
