Star Jones opened up to Oprah Winfrey about how her secret gastric-bypass surgery created a wedge between her and the ladies of "The View."
"I'm so sorry that I placed a burden on my colleagues. I never asked them to lie," Star responded to a previous clip of Barbara Walters on Oprah saying her secret surgery caused "The View" audience to feel "uncomfortable" and unable to "relate" to Star anymore.
Star, who lost 160 pounds, called her weight loss the "the hardest struggle" of her entire life and said she had "no choice" but to have the surgery. "When you hear people say 'You took the easy way out,' I would have longed for an easy way. It was not an easy way," she tells Oprah of the criticism.
Star's interview will air tomorrow on Oprah's show along with Valerie Bertinelli and Marie Osmond's interview about their weight loss.
