After tying the knot last weekend, new details have emerged about the wedding of Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard.
A source tells People.com that the pair exchanged vows at an Italian convent called Convento di Santa Maria di Costantinopoli in the city of Brindisi -- and they made it official in front of 40 guests, which included Maggie's brother Jake Gyllenhaal and his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.
The ceremony, which kicked off at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, was officiated by a family friend, the source reveals to People. Guests enjoyed food made by a chef who brought a special kitchen to the convent and they sipped Castel di Salve wines.
The source tells People that Italian music group Zimbo played music at the reception, including songs by Domenico Modugno.
Maggie and Peter enjoyed a family brunch the day after their nuptials, which was also attended by Jake and Reese -- and then they did some bike-riding and shopping later in the day, says People.
